When many of us think about mob rubouts, we think about Sammy “the Bull” Gravano, the mob enforcer that entered the witness program after testifying against John Gotti, his former boss. Gravano may have been a cold blooded killer, but Jesus Ernesto Chavez Castillo is a butcher.
On Tuesday, Fox News reports that Castillo is the star witness testifying this week against mobster Arturo Gallegos Castrellon, who was Castillo’s boss. Castrellon has been charged in ordering the assassination of three Americans.
An El Paso jury is hearing testimony from Castillo, the state’s star witness. Castillo helped Juarez Mexico gain the title of “Murder Capital of the World.” During the hearing, Castillo said he killed so many people, that he stopped counting after his 800th victim.
Castillo told a courtroom that he often beheaded his victims and dismembered them. He explained that testifying against his former boss was the right thing to do since he had done so much wrong.
The three American victims were murdered after leaving a birthday party. An FBI agent and former gang member testified that the murders may have been a case of mistaken identity.
