History repeats itself at Treaty Oak

On October 24th, 2009, history will come alive at the Jessie Ball duPont Park on Prudential Drive. The First Coast Wind Ensemble, sponsored by the Jacksonville Historical Society, will present a free concert under the shady limbs of Treaty Oak, featuring the music of John Philip Sousa. It's been 100 years since Sousa's stirring march music has echoed across what once was the Dixieland Amusement Park. Bring a lawn chair and share the memory with your kids! Free parking will be available and the concert starts at 4pm.

Location: Jessie Ball duPont at 1123 Prudential Drive at the Main Street viaduct on the Southbank
