SafeRacer has become the newest partner with the Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA) in it re-organization since Texas businessman and Vintage Racer Tony Parella purchased the entity last fall. According to a press release from SVRA, SafeRacer will now be the "Official Safety Equipment Supplier" of the organization.
About the partnership, SVRA President and CEO Tony Parella commented:
"SafeRacer is the acknowledged leader in providing with racers with an incredible selection of top quality safety products at very competitive prices. This one-stop shopping experience, plus their great customer service and free shipping on orders over $99 will certainly appeal to our competitors. We’re proud to add SafeRacer to our growing list of partners and sponsors."
President and founder of SafeRacer, Charlie James said:
"SafeRacer is always looking for new marketing partners and with the new ownership at SVRA, we were encouraged to hear about the new events, drivers schools and other partnerships that were being developed. That’s exactly the kind of events and people that SafeRacer wants to be associated with and help prosper. We're looking forward to a long relationship with SVRA and meeting lots of new racing friends.”
SVRA is undergoing major changes in 2013 from its founding days in 1978 when it was primarily an East coast organization. The historic racing group is now going national with East and West coast branches. A first national championship is also being planned at a venue to be confirmed soon.
