According to Goodwood, the overall house competition of the 72nd Members’ Meeting, was won by Methuen House with 3,950 accumulated points. Second place went to Darnley with 3,405 points; third to Torbolton with 3,077, and Aubigny came in fourth with 2,819.
The 72nd Members’ Meeting is a re-invention of the annual British Automobile Racing Club (BARC) meetings that were held at Goodwood in the 1950s and 1960s. Members of the Goodwood Road Racing Club (GRRC) convene on the Goodwood estate in Chichester, West Sussex, England and participate in games, activities, and racing, earning points for their assigned “house” team in a classic British style.
The 2014 meeting is the first such gathering since 1966 and joins other popular motor sports events held annually on the British estate, the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the summer and the Goodwood Revival each fall.
