The Goodwood Estate in Chichester, England expects machinery with nearly half a million total horsepower to gather on its grounds on "Supercar Sunday" this weekend as it kicks off the first Goodwood Breakfast Club of 2014. The announcement was made via press release from Goodwood on Tuesday, April 29.
The event on May 4 will feature two and four-wheeled "exotica" from the "world’s most exclusive manufacturers of high-performance machinery," according to Goodwood. Sunday kicks off the ninth season of the Breakfast Club events.
Goodwood says that 750 cars and bikes are registered for the first Breakfast Club of 2014, including models from Aston Martin, Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini, McLaren, Chevrolet, McLaren, TVR, Audi, Mercedes, BMW, Jaguar, Lotus, Maserati, Suzuki, Honda, Kawasaki, Ducati, and others.
Gates open at 8:00 a.m. local time, and admission and parking are free. Goodwood will serve organic breakfasts throughout as motor sports fans take a look at the machinery on display. The event closes at noon.
Four more Breakfast Clubs will follow in 2014 with the following themes: Soft Tops (June 1), Thoroughbreds (August 3), Hot Hatches (October 5), and Vee Power (November 2). To park within the grounds, fans must have a theme-related vehicle and be pre-registered.
