"Unto Us A Son is Given" Nativity Exhibit Presented by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and recognized as one of the "Top 100 Events in North America," the historic Kirtland Village's Nativity exhibit includes representations from more than 30 countries worldwide giving visitors a look at how different cultures celebrate Christmas.

In addition to the more than 620 nativity scenes, two of the biggest attractions at the exhibit are an 8 foot long sculpture of Mary, Joseph and Jesus by local (South Euclid) and world renowned artist and sculptor Norbert Kohen and a Croatian nativity that was created by an Austrian camp refugee at the end of World War II.

Make sure you don't miss the miniature nativity exhibit featuring detailed paintings and carvings and examples of primitive art.

Other things to see at the exhibit include an international Nativity stamp collection and a display of antique, foreign and handmade Christmas cards.

There will also be a Children's Room where young visitors can participate in several activities including dressing up in costume, enjoying an "I Spy" seek and find game and joining a child-sized nativity scene for a photo opportunity.

The Nativity exhibit encompasses the entire Visitors Center at the Village and the one-room schoolhouse next to the Center.

Visitors can also take a free guided tour of the historic Village that includes an inn, a store and a house all done up in their holiday finery.

Hours for the Historic Kirtland Village Nativity exhibit are 9 a.m. - 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11:30 a.m. - 8 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is free.
