Historic Columbia's houses are open for holiday tours

The Historic Columbia Foundation’s Holiday House Tours began on Friday, November 22 and will run through Since that day, the Robert Mills House, the Hampton-Preston Mansion and the Mann-Simons Site will be decorated for the holiday season and open for tours.

Guides will provide stories of holidays past in Columbia and will described how families decorated and entertained during the 19th and early 20th century. Also on display will be an assortment of holiday faux food.= The house museums are decorated and use offers a glimpse into the lives of three different holiday social scenes set in Columbia. Enjoy the greenery and decorative faux food throughout each house while guides provide stories of holidays past.

The holiday house Tours are only a small portion of what the Foundation has planned for the Holiday Season. Click here for a full schedule of Holiday events.

Tickets for individual house tours are $8 for adults and $5 for youth 6-17. AAA members are $6 for adults and $4 for youth. For further information, please call 803-252-1770 ex 24 or email
