If you are a Latino in social media, business, entertainment, technology, or marketing, you might want to check out Hispanicize 2014. This event is in its fifth year and will take place from April 1 through April 4 at the InterContinental Hotel. It is a great opportunity to network and meet other professionals in your field and to catch up with the latest and greatest in media and technology.
Hispanicize 2014 is sponsored by Strayer University, a large supporter of the Latino Startup of the Year competition geared towards Latino entrepreneurs. Startup companies had to submit a YouTube video describing their product or service, as well as their mission for the future and vision for success. Finalists will attend this year's Hispanicize event and go before a panel of judges who will decide the winner. The winner will receive a service package with the tools and services needed to succeed in their startup.
Experts from Strayer University will be in attendance to share their secrets of success on marketing, leadership, and business strategies necessary to forge ahead in a global environment. Some of the workshops offered will include skills such as resume building, time management, creativity and motivation in business, and developing multicultural campaigns, among others. There will also be a panel in engaging the "New Latina" and offering a new model of leadership skills for this growing demographic.
Besides it being a great opportunity for learning and networking, Hispanicize also features an array of Latino artists to liven up the event. This year's attendees will include Carlos Vives, La Santa Cecilia, and Sie7e, among others. If you are a Latino entrepreneur and a lover of music, you will certainly want to attend.
