A few days after Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s racist and homophobic rant on uStream.com, the target of his tirades, pound for pound king Manny Pacquiao, finally responded to Mayweather's vile comments. Pacquiao wrote on his online blog "Kumbinasyon" (Combination) published by Philboxing.com that he is delighted Mayweather is helping hype up his upcoming fight against Antonio Margarito on November 13 by showing his ignorance to the world. Mayweather made several racial comments against Pacquiao and Asians saying he will cook "Poo-chie-eye" with cats and dogs and have him make him sushi rolls. Further, Mayweather hurled homophobic insults calling Pacquiao a "faggot" among several other hateful remarks.

Pacquiao wrote:
"Natutuwa naman akong pati si Floyd Mayweather ay tumutulong sa pagbibigay ng pansin sa aking laban. Dahil sa paninira niya sa aking puri at sa paglalahad niya ng kaniyang kamangmangan ay lalong napapansin ng lahat ang laban na ito."
Translation:
"I am delighted that even Floyd Mayweather is helping to bring attention to my fight. Because of his slanderous comments against me and his showcase of ignorance, a lot more people are noticing my fight."
Pacquiao also added,
"Dahil kukulangin ang pahina ngayon, bibigyan-pansin ko ang mga kasalanan na ipinataw ni Mayweather sa susunod kong kolum.
Alam kong aalma ang maraming taong naapektuhan ng racial slurs ni Mayweather na nagpakita ng kawalanghiyaan niya sa sarili. Alam kong marami pang babatikos sa kanya mula ngayon hanggang sa susunod kong kolum."
Translation:
"Because I won't have enough time right now, I will further respond to Mayweather's comments in my next column.
I know there are a lot of people that are affected by Mayweather's racial slurs which shows his rude nature. I know there will be several people that will criticize his rants from today until my next column."

Mayweather issued an apology yesterday to people he might have offended with his hateful rant but did not directly apologize to Pacquiao.

You know the saying that you have become what you hated the most.... This is a classic example. I got much respect for old black folks who fought racism their whole lives. They paved the way for not only hard working black people but all hard working non-white people to flourish and be successful here in US.
One thing is for sure when I watched Mayweather's comments. It diminished all the hard work for fighting racism when he became a racist himself. Although I can say that during the interview, Mayweather is under the influence of alcohol and he just probably want to let out all the steam built up inside of him. It is by far not an excuse for a professional athlete to conduct himself in public and during an interview with a reporter. I do hope that his sponsors would look deep into this because they should not be seen representing a racist athlete not on these days standards...
