His Holiness the Dalai Lama is well liked in Germany where he is now visiting. The Dalai Lama has arrived in Hamburg, Germany for a six day visit reported Phayul.com on Aug. 23, 2014. He was invited to Germany by the Tibetan Centre in Hamburg.
The Dalai Lama was welcomed at the Hamburg airport by the Indian Consul General in Hamburg, Dr Vidhu Nair, along with others. Members of the German Tibetan community joined in welcoming His Holiness the Dalai Lama upon arrival at his hotel. He planned a public address on Saturday on secular ethics and human life values.
The Central Tibetan Administration reports this is the Dalai Lama's fifth visit to Hamburg and 38th visit to Germany.
Tickets for his first event on secular ethics and human life values were completely sold out two months ago. There are 7,000 seats in the hall where he will make this presentation which will also be broadcast on a live webcast.
Messages of peace and goodwill from His Holiness the Dalai Lama are greatly appreciated worldwide during these unusually troubled times wherein there appears to be more violence worldwide than during World War 11.
