Basketball superstar and hoops icon Michael Jordan was reportedly hit by a paternity suit alleging him to be the father of a now 16-year-old boy, according to a TMZ report.
TMZ had mentioned in that report that the basketball legend had an alleged affair with a woman named Pamela Smith and that alleged affair got her pregnant in year 1996. At that time, Michael Jordan was still married to his wife, according to that report.
That same report had also mentioned that Smith filed the suit because she wants full custody of her son whose name is Grant Pierce Jay Jordan Reynolds aka "Taj" and for Jordan to pay child support, including her son's medical expenses. The report also mentioned that Smith also wants her son to legally carry Jordan's last name for the record.
Michael Jordan and Taj have allegedly met several times in the past, and the NBA star gave the family gifts and money. However, Taj was allegedly told to keep it a secret, according to TMZ's report.
TMZ also reported that Taj even posted a YouTube video explaining his situation and to obviously make his case known to the public. You can check out that YouTube video here.
Meanwhile, Jordan hasn't made any comment yet regarding the said paternity suit. Until the public hear word from "His Airness" and the court makes a review as to the merit of this case and makes a final verdict, then it's safe to assume that all these can be considered allegations at this point.
