The event will be held at the Lackland AFB on May 14th from 10 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

USAA is also sponsoring a free networking reception on May 13th from 7 to 9 p.m. at the USAA Federal Savings Bank. To register for the event see the link above. It is open to all military spouses, including Reserve, Guard, Veteran and Active Duty spouses. This will be a valuable time with local business representatives and community leaders. Networking with other military spouses provides another career resource.

The "Hiring our Heroes" program was launched in March 2011 as a nationwide effort to help transitioning service members. According to www.hiringourheroes.org, more than 23,000 veterans and spouses have obtained jobs through the program.
