Located in the scenic USC’s Exposition Park in Los Angeles, Uforia Music Festival, brought together an eclectic mix of musicians to celebrate Latin and English culture. The festival hosted a concert spread across two stages featuring a wide variety of genres including rock, pop, electronic and Mexican music. Headliners included hip hop superstars, Nelly, Ludacris and Kid Cudi.
In addition, La Arrolladora Banda El Limon, Camila and Kid Cudi, were among the top tier of performers at the festival. Uforia Music Festival was an exceptional concert experience that united people from all different walks of life and ethnicities to come together to celebrate music- the world's universal language.
Nelly, an American rapper and singer-songwriter, shared his excitement to be performing at Uforia. After playing his late afternoon set, Nelly arrived at the media tent to enthusiastically show appreciation for being chosen to perform at the festival.
"The crowd is incredible," he says, "That is what music does- it brings everybody together. In a place like LA, that is so multicultural, it is an honor to be part of something that is so innovative."
Nelly sang some of his classic hits, such as Country Grammar and Hot in Herre. He also performed the lead single off of his 7th studio album, titled M.O., "Get Like Me," featuring Nicki Minaj and Pharrell.
"I think the best thing we give as an artist is our honest y, creativity and passion, " Nelly explains, "Music is an art and may not always be politically correct. It is important to be honest, regardless of how people feel about it."
