Hingham Civic Music Theatre premieres 'The Sound of Music' April 26

Soon to be celebrating its 50th anniversary of the beloved film, The Hingham Civic Music Theatre is gearing up to perform their spring musical, Rodgers and Hammerstein’s ‘The Sound of Music’ on Saturday, April 26, Friday, May 2, and Saturday, May 3 at 7:30 p.m. Two Sunday matinees are scheduled for April 27 and May 4 at 4 p.m. Visit www.hcmt.org for more information!

Directed by Bill Boyer with music direction by John Duff and choreography by Janet Fortier, ‘The Sound of Music’ is the story of jubilant Maria, a young woman who becomes a governess to a naval widower and his large family during World War II. Filled with inspiring musical numbers such as ‘Edelweiss,’ ‘Climb Every Mountain,’ and ‘The Sound of Music,’ relive the stirring moments of this beloved family musical.
