The Hillsdale College Chargers and Lake Superior State University Lakers matched each other step-for-step throughout Saturday's GLIAC conference matchup.
The two teams were tied at 69 points apiece with less than a minute to go. The Chargers then took full advantage of quick scoring and much-needed turnovers to score five unanswered points and walk off the court with a 74-69 victory. The win gives the Chargers an even 9-9 record on the year, while the Lakers fall to 6-8.
The Chargers were led by Chelsea Harrison with 18 points. V-baller turned b-baller Amanda Geelhoed added 14 points, while freshman Lea Jones recorded 11 timely points, giving the Chargers a late push.
