Hillsdale College men's basketball team grinds out a win over Saginaw Valley (slideshow)

A young Hillsdale College squad took their bumps and bruises early in the season, getting off to a rocky 1-10 start this year. But Thursday night's 61-57 win over Saginaw Valley State was another big step for the ever-improving Chargers.

The Chargers were led in scoring by sophomore Brent Eaton, who recorded 13 points. Nick Meinert added 12 points, and Luke Laser chipped in with 10.

With the win, Hillsdale College improves their record to 6-11, and SVSU now has a 12-6 mark on the season.
