Hillsdale College men edge Northwood to continue turnaround of basketball season (slideshow)

The Hillsdale College Chargers took advantage of a balanced offense and an opportunistic defense to claim a close 72-70 win over Northwood Saturday afternoon. With the win, Hillsdale moves to 10-12 (10-8 conference) and improves their shot at hosting a GLIAC playoff game. Northwood falls to 8-10 (5-9 conference).

With just under two minutes remaining, the game was tied at 70. But, thanks to a Nick Washburn layup and a stout defense, the Chargers were able to pull out the win.

The Chargers were led by Brad Guinane with 18 points, followed  closely by Brent Eaton with 17. Luke Laser and Nick Washburn contributed 11 and 10 points, respectively.
