Hillsborough County Homeless Coalition names new CEO

The Homeless Coalition of Hillsborough County is naming Maria Pellerin Barcus as its new CEO on January 14.

Ms. Barcus has had experience in deveolping solutions to the problems of the homeless and homelessness on local, state and national levels for 18 years.

Prior to this new appointment in the Tampa Bay Area, she was the leader of Carrfour Supportive Housing based in Miami for 12 years and facilitated a public-private working group to develop and operate 700 units of housing and community services to assist the homeless there.

The Homeless Coalition of Hillsborough County, a nonprofit organization, tries to find, establish and maintain multiple efforts that will develop into long-term solutions toward addressing the causes of homelessness and to assist the homeless population of the Tampa Bay Area.
