The Arts Council’s artist grants are reimbursement-based and are intended to provide financial assistance to experienced Hillsborough County artists to further their professional development. Applicants must propose the project for funding in their applications. The grant period begins March 1, 2014 and ends Sept. 30, 2014.

Funding is available for projects, for a residency, for equipment or other specific purpose. Read the Individual Artist Grant Program Guidelines for more specific information on eligibility requirements and application instructions. The deadline is Friday, Jan. 24, 2014, 5 pm in the Arts Council offices.

Creative artists need to answer three questions, attach a resume of accomplishments, show your work samples and your project budget.

The Arts Council’s grant programs are made possible thanks to funds from the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners, donations received from individuals through Hillsborough Arts, Inc. and fundraising events such as FIVE by FIVE and Heart of the Arts.

You can see who received grants in 2013 and in 2012.
