CASSIDY HAS AN ADOPTION PENDING!

A gorgeous red dachshund with silky fur and a massive overbite (we don’t make fun of him for this), Cassidy is the perfect dachshund. Incredibly loving and affectionate, he could spend eternity giving his humans kisses. He is very easy to have around and doesn’t have any issues of any kind.

He adores meeting new people. The first thing he does with a visitor comes over is roll over and show them his belly. When they sit down, Cassidy is sitting on them, giving them kiss after kiss. He also enjoys meeting new dogs and gets along with everyone. He is NOT good with cats, but he’s great with children.

Cassidy is generally mellow—except for when he plays. He loves to play Wrestlemania, stampede around the house and chew on his playmate’s face. He would be miserable as an only dog, so he needs to go to a home with at least one other youthful and playful dog. He is not an alpha male.

Cassidy is not an apartment or condo dog; he needs a backyard and a doggie door. He loves to go for walks and will happy go as often as his human will take him. A fairly quiet dog, when he does bark is deep and loud.

A well-behaved little sweetiepie, he spends his time chewing on his cow hoof, playing with the other dachshunds in his foster home and napping in his favorite dog bed.

Cassidy will sleep in his crate at night, but he’d prefer to sleep with his people. He wasn’t at all housetrained when he arrived in rescue, but he has been a learner. He even goes outside to pee in the rain, a rare quality in a dachshund. He’ll need a brief refresher course in his new home.
