Hillary Duff now writing young adult books with Simon and Schuster

Simon and Schuster Books for Young Adults has announced that 22-year-old,  actress-singer, Hilary Duff, has now turned writer. She is currently writing a series of young adult novels that will start with the book, "Elixir" that will come out in October of this year.

This first novel will depict the worldwide adventures of photojournalist Clea Raymond.

The new author plans on writing a nonfiction book about children coping with divorce that is scheduled to be out in 2012. Duff has expressed her thoughts and emotions on her parent's separation in songs such as "Stranger" and "Gypsy Woman."
