Like her or leave her, Hillary Clinton is a headline maker, and apparently so are her bangs. The softer bang worn by the politician suited her face, but this isn’t the first time Clinton has been seen with bangs, she has just worn them with height or away from her face (view slideshow). According to Us Weekly, fashion designer Oscar de la Renta inspired Hillary’s first foray into a wavy side bang back in July of 2013.

Are bangs appropriate for a 66-year-old woman? Of course they are, and Hillary Clinton’s layered look softens her face while strategically hiding fine lines and wrinkles. Heavier bangs are suited for younger women, such as Taylor Swift, and a side bang and its variations truly haven’t an age limit. Avoid antiquated hairstyles from the '80s and '90s, as a fluffy bang will tend to age the wearer. And although the temptation might be very real, have your bangs cut by a licensed professional.
