Oscar winner Hilary Swank made the biggest mistake of her career when she attended a concert and birthday party for Chechen president Ramzan Kadyrov last month.
Although Swank said that she had done her ‘research’ about the president before she went to the birthday party and gave a big speech at the event, she came under fire after she learned that Kadyrov is being accused of murdering his political rivals and violating human rights. Something that she likely would have known about had she really digged deep into her research before attending the event.
After everything hit the fan, she is said to have fired her manager and then released a statement saying;
"If I had a full understanding of what this event was apparently intended to be ... I would never have gone.”
Now reports are surfacing from Entertainment Weekly saying that her PR team at 42 West has dumped the actress after they couldn’t agree on how to best handle the situation resulting from her attendance at Kadyrov’s party.
