In yet another piece of good news for the newlyweds, Hilary Duff's husband Mike Comrie has signed a $500,000 with the NHL's Pittsburgh Penguins. The one-year deal was signed earlier today.
The move to Pittsburgh was well thought out on the part of Comrie. He says it was a decision based purely on hockey. He is said to have also entertained offers from Detroit, Los Angeles, and Anaheim. Although he and Hilary currently live in L.A., Comrie said he said "wanted to go to a great team and be a part of an organization like Pittsburgh and be able to compete for a Stanley Cup."
Duff and Comrie were married about three weeks ago, and then took a short four-day honeymoon to Mexico. In the weeks since their return, Houston native Hilary has been spotted with e-mails regarding a possible upcoming role in the movie A Dolphin's Tale, which will be starring Harry Connick Jr. and Ashley Judd.
Hilary's first novel, Elixir, is set to hit book stores in mid-October.
