Hilariously Bad: Kate Gosselin dancing to Lady Gaga on this week's 'Dancing With The Stars' (video)

Kate Gosselin performs a hilariously bad dance routine in the video below: check it out

"Dancing With The Stars" is not a comedy series, but when a clip of Kate Gosselin dancing to Lady Gaga's "Paparazzi" showed up in the Comedy Examiner's inbox, it sure as hell looked like one for a couple minutes.  Former astronaut Buzz Aldrin ended up getting the boot for his 13/30 score the following night, but Kate's bizarre routine nearly sanke her, as well: she scored a 15/30.  If you haven't already seen Kate's absurd dancing skills, you really should see the hilarious clip embedded below, wherein Kate shows us all how not to cut a rug.  Keep on reading for the hilarity, my gentle Examiner readers...

Longtime readers of the Comedy Examiner will know that I often use Kate Gosselin as my go-to punchline when it comes to anything revolving around reality TV: she's just so unbelievable as a "celebrity", it's kinda hard not to.  Kate's part of the lineup on this season of "Dancing With The Stars" (as you've probably already heard), and recently she performed a routine set to Lady Gaga's "Paparazzi".

Now, I don't watch "Dancing With The Stars" (I start to fall asleep from boredom just typing the title of the show), but thank God for Comedy Examiner reader "Mike R.", who sent in the following clip of Kate's bizarre performance art piece.  That's gotta be what this is, right?  Surely she doesn't think it's actual dancing, right?  Reading about it won't do it justice, so let's all take a look at this thing (fast forward to the three-minute mark for the dancing, and if you can't make it through the whole thing, be sure to check out the judges' reaction afterwards):

Best part of the video?  The baby steps.  Did you notice-- as the judges certainly seemed to-- those awkwardly tiny steps Kate was taking after she descended the staircase?  And what are we to make of the fact that Kate essentially walks from one end of the stage to the other rather than, y'know, dancing?  Or her take on the classic dance move "Lay on ground and reach hands into air for partner to pick you up", which we all know was one of the biggest dance crazes of the 80's?  Watching this thing truly is exactly like witnessing a car wreck: you just can't turn away, and Lady Gaga's on the radio.

Gosselin made the news last week when her "DWTS" partner, Tony, abruptly quit the show-- after working on it for nine years-- because Gosselin refused to accept his teaching style.  Producers for the show apparently talked the pro dancer into coming back, but check out the dude's face throughout this video: he looks ready to punch Kate in the face, doesn't he?  Man, Kate Gosselin just brings happiness and good times wherever she goes.

UPDATE! Someone just sent in this video from last night's "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon", wherein the former SNL "Weekend Update" anchor performs his own version of Kate's epic dance routine.  It's sketches like this that make me think I really should be watching Jimmy Fallon more often.  Here, check it out:

I LOVED the Jimmy Fallon video! :)

That really was a sad trainwreck of a dance routine. Since when does staggering around the dance floor qualify as dancing?!
Fallon's take on it was terrific - he caught onto the inspiration of "Thriller" - Khate really did resemble a zombie in sequins.
The sad thing is, her deluded fan base will keep her around well past her expiration date. Poor Tony - I hope he's being compensated big time for the weekly humiliation of partnering that untalented cow.
