Atlanta fashionistas, these may look like “self promotion” by the photographer himself but they’re the cutest (and most bizarre) ads featuring model Eniko Mihalik toying with stretchy dolls of photographer Terry Richardson.
The humorous and playful ad campaign was coordinated for jeweler David Webb for his Fall 2011 and Spring 2012 (they’re still going strong!), being the company's first advertising campaign to be produced in over two decades.
On the team are Carine Roitfeld as Stylist (former Paris Vogue Editor-in-Chief!), Alex Wiederin of Buero New York as Creative Director and Eniko Mihalik as model with Terry Richardson photographing her.
A one-minute (ok 55 seconds!) video was also filmed during the photoshoot for a look behind-the-scenes if you will, showing how they put the ad campaign together, though Carine Roitfeld does not figure in them, other than perhaps those may be her hands. (?)
Terry Richardson, a high-profile photographer, famous for his signature geeky retro glasses and plaid shirts, sometimes features in the ads with his subjects, such as with Liza Minelli for LOVE magazine back in the summer of 2011.
Last year, Terry was gripping Liza’s thigh while she caresses his chest, and more bonding took place between the two when Terry captured Liza wearing his eyeglasses that he’s captioned “Liza as me.”
