Do you want something unique and fun near Fresno where you can go jogging and also go hiking? The McKenzie Loop may be just your thing. It can be reached from Fresno by driving from Fresno towards Auberry Road Just after you pass Caballero Road you will see the Fresno County area trail head. You begin this Fresno County area trail by heading north on a single one way hiking and jogging trail. You then hit a fork in the Fresno area hiking and jogging trail. You can go either left or right since it is a hiking and jogging trail loop.
The mileage of this amazing trail is approximately 10 miles. It is easy at the begging so it is amazing for jogging. Along the middle of the way it gets a bit strenuous so you may want to try hiking instead of jogging. The hiking and jogging trail then gets easier near the end of it so you can go jogging or hiking near the end. The jogging and hiking trail is operated by the Sierra Foothill Preservancy so it is well maintained. The area is out of this area.
