Hiking Fresno Pa'san Ridge Loop Trail Easy Way

See also

This is a great very outback type of trail. It is near Fresno so you can save on gas while still feeling like you are in Sequoia or a similar national Park. The Fresno trail is great for hiking or jogging. Although for hiking consider mixing in some jogging. In some areas jogging may not be possible and it is a hiking only section due to rough trails. However the majority of the trail is appropriate with hiking and jogging. The hiking and jogging trail goes across a river on a bridge with amazing views.

This is amazing hike for the Fresno area that is frequently enjoyed by Fresno mountain bike enthusiasts. Fortunately the bicycling in my experience does not impact hiking or jogging. The Fresno bicycle people typically go clockwise on the trail. The Fresno hikers and joggers often go counter clockwise on the trail. This is beneficial because the descent is a lot easier on the western part of the trail. Additionally this helps you get a better exercise in because you hit some of the tougher parts on the trail near the end of the trail so you have few chocies but to overcome. The trail head can be reached by driving from Fresno to Smalley Road. It is just north of Auberry. The parking lot is rarely too crowded. It is approximately 6 miles from the Smalley Road on a downhill incline.
