On a nice day, there's nothing better than sitting outside in the sun, a cool breeze gently blowing, soft music and a cup of coffee.
Underneath the umbrellas or sitting on a park bench, Hi Hat Coffee is a welcome break from the hustle and bustle crowds. Housed in the quaint little brick building situated in Westwood Hills that, at one time, was a gas station, it is a reminder of a time less frantic and when architecture was built with more personality.
Hi Hat Coffee offers a splendid array of coffees and teas, hot or cold, in a wide variety of flavors. “The Nutty Irishman,” for example, is at the top of the list just inside the door. It's a wonderful blend of coffee with hazelnut and Irish cream. “The Sandstone” is another feature, white chocolate caramel mocha. Try one cold.
Hi Hat Coffee is located near the corner of 50th and State Line Road in Mission, Kans., next to Anne Dore's Fine Chocolates (the dark chocolate-covered apricots are fantastic), and a great excuse to stop for a cup of coffee and some chocolates.
