The Highwaymen MC of Ilion, New York, hosted their annual Winter Blowout on Saturday, February 11, 2012, at the Silverado in Herkimer. Although my friends and I arrived two hours late, there was still a huge crowd mingling around and plenty of food left on the buffet (which is always absolutely delicious at a HMC party)! By the way, the “Harley” cupcakes were a big hit! A huge basket full of “spirits,” which we all wanted desperately to win, was raffled off to a lucky winner. The music was awesome and brought a few to the dance floor throughout the night.
Members of the Highwaymen MC South and many other club representatives came to support their brothers, as well as friends and family from the biker community. The Highwaymen MC (one of the larger clubs in the area) are always welcoming and anyone who has attended their events knows that you are guaranteed a good time with these guys. One of the things I love about this club is the pride each member has in the club and in each other. They are all good “soldiers” and take care of their brothers, including the two (Tyler and Peeps) who are absent at this time, insuring that they are not forgotten. Their commitment to each other is admirable and is no doubt one of the reasons this club continues to thrive. You can read more about this event in the next issue of New York Rider Magazine.
The Highwaymen MC host two major events every year, the Winter Blowout and their Anniversary Bash in August. Keep your eye on this page for future event listings. Consider making the trip to Herkimer to meet the Highwaymen and you will learn why their supporters are among the most loyal.
