This will be short and sweet: websites like Examiner are robbing the writers of their just pay, and they have been allowed to do this too many times to count. Where else can someone, as a hobby, write forty articles, interviews, and reviews in the manner of one year and get paid only thirteen dollars?
It's any website, any magazine these days that just loves to shortchange the writers and the artists.
I would love to say there's a solution to work with such organizations and to get what's what for the people actually creating the content, but there's no easy way. The way of the future is to just create your own website, your own magazine, and try and make the best of it.
It's a world full of rip-offs. It'll never get better if you're dependent on these vultures.
So, in short, just start up your own world and get to it, and fast.
