March is going to be an exciting month for movie and DVD releases. If you’re looking for something to watch in March, you might want to check out one of these four highly anticipated movies:

Alice In Wonderland – March 5, 2010 – Starring Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter, Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen, Anne Hathaway as the White Queen, and newcomer Mia Wasikowska as Alice, this new 3D fantasy adventure chronicles 19-year-old Alice’s return to the magical land she visited as a child, Wonderland, where she is reunited with her childhood friends and learns that she is meant to help end the terrible reign of the Red Queen. This whimsical movie, directed by Tim Burton, puts a new spin on Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass.

Remember Me – March 12, 2010 – Starring Robert Pattinson, Emilie de Ravin, and Pierce Brosnan, Remember Me is a romantic drama telling the love story of Tyler (Robert Pattinson), a young man living in New York City, and Ally (Emilie de Ravin), a girl Tyler meets through a strange twist of fate. Tyler is rebellious, has a strained relationship with his father (Pierce Brosnan), and cannot find any purpose for his life. He isn’t searching for love, but finds it unexpectedly with Ally, along with a new meaning for his life.

The Runaways – March 19, 2010 – The Runaways chronicles the formation of the all-girl rock band The Runaways and their rise to fame and eventual fall during the late 1970’s. This biopic stars Kristen Stewart as Joan Jett and Dakota Fanning as Cherie Currie, the groundbreaking band’s leaders.

The Twilight Saga: New Moon – March 20, 2010 – If you didn’t catch New Moon in theaters, don’t worry: you’ll have your chance to buy it on DVD March 20th. This sequel to Twilight follows up on the love story of Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) and her vampire boyfriend, Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson). Edward and his family abruptly decide to leave Forks after Bella is nearly fatally attacked by one of Edward’s brothers. Bella is left heartbroken and unable to find the will to go on without Edward. Searching for a distraction from her loss-of-Edward-induced-depression, she becomes closer to her friend Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner), who has his own dark secret, and finds herself engaging in reckless life-threatening activities.

I'm sorry, that should say Lewis Carroll's ALICE'S ADVENTURES IN WONDERLAND, not ALICE IN WONDERLAND. I wrote the title incorrectly....sorry!

Mia Wasikowska was fabulous in "That Evening Sun" (which, for those unfamiliar with it, featured a lot of Atlanta talent and was one of the 2009's best films), and I'm looking forward to seeing what she does with the role of Alice.
