Here are some of the amazing products and companies featured at the show:

Dinair Airbrush Makeup- If you want to achieve a flawless air brushed makeup look at home the Dinair Airbrush Makeup Kit is for you, it even comes with tutorials. The makeup is a water-based formula with added pigments. It comes out of the pen pixilated for even coverage that doesn’t clog pores and allows skin to breath. It is both water and sweat proof plus it last for 18 hours. I had my makeup done Alejandro Acosta. He explained that the same color could be used on the lips and cheeks and come out in a different shade because of the skin tones. Dinair was used at Grammys and the Oscars and is available for everyday use.

Eye Kandy- Their glitter shades in electrifying colors are to die for and the Liquid Sugar adhesive is a life saver. I had it on all day and there was little to no fall out. For application the brush is dipped into the Liquid Sugar solution and then the glitter. After cleaning the brush for any flakes that didn’t catch it allows for precise application.

Naked Cosmetics- Shimmer or matte? Just add water. One of the coolest things I saw all day. Naked Cosmetics offers mineral based non-toxic and non-allergenic products, they try to kept it as natural as possible. Their shimmering eye shadow shades change to bold color when applied with a dampened brush. After adding the primer, just wet the applicator for a matte finish.

Beauty & Pin Ups- With a Cadillac DJ booth and dancing pin up girls this drive-in inspired displays was one of the liveliest at the show, with no shortage of a crowd. Their Exclasa Collection was launched at the show on March 9. The line contains Babassu, Burti, and Brazil Nut Oils, and it includes shampoo, conditioner, oil, masque, volumizing cream, and thermal spray. The products promise to protect hair from both environmental and mechanical damage while moisturizing and replenishing.

Redken- Another display that could not be missed. Complete with a runway and blow dry station. Here they showcased their new Flex styling products for every type and style of hair, as well as Pillow Proof Blow Dry Express Primer which extends the life of a blow out by 2 days and cuts blow dry time in half. Other topics included coloring effects. A spin off the ombre trend, color is added to the either the crown, mid length, or end of hair. The spot light effect makes the mid hair a slightly lighter shade to create the illusion of an ever present spot light.

Last but least was Lisa Yamasaki’s Mirage of Carnival main stage showcase. The whimsical performance was truly a spectacle, with a mix dancing and fun costumes, not to mention the impressive hairstyles by Yamasaki and makeup by Roshar. When Yamasaki took the stage to thank everyone she compared hairstylist to sculptors and makeup artist to painters. This couldn't be more true and the evidence was the pieces of art that walked the stage. Everything from a ring master, to a jester, to masqueraders in luxurious gowns captivated the audience.
