Highlights from Conair Style360's 'Le Look Smurfette' presentation and party (Photos)

Last night, Examiner.com was on the scene at the "Le Look Smurfette" presentation at Metropolitan Pavilion as apart of Syle360 presented by Conair. The end of Fashion Week had some fashionistas feeling blue, which isn’t a bad thing for those lucky enough to catch the showing of Le Look Smurfette, presented by Junk Food ArtHouse and Sony Pictures Entertainment. The final runway show brought a huge audience to the Metropolitan Pavilion, where Kelly Cutrone of People’s Revolution could be seen darting in and out of the crowd. Also in attendance was Emma Kenney, the young star of "Shameless," who posed for photos with her group of girlfriends.

The first look down the runway—a gray cutout sweatshirt with a jeweled blue turtleneck—set the tone for the casual, girly pieces to follow. Tees and sweats bearing cheeky, comic book-style phrases Ooh La La, Parlez Vous Anglais, and La Kazam! sat atop flared skirts and high-waisted retro pants. Bedazzling was a huge trend throughout the collection; sweatshirt sleeves were embellished with daisies and ornaments, while glittering stars and gems decorated a white peplum top. Blue, of course, was the color of the night, which the designers mixed expertly with icy gray, silver, black, and white. Thursday Friday, designed the Alakazam wristlet and scarves used in the show.

The line comes just in time for the next installment in Sony’s popular Smurf film franchise. These looks could easily be seen on Katy Perry, the voice of Smurfette herself. "The Smurfs 2" will be out on July 31, 2013. The Smurfs show their love is true blue when Smurfette is kidnapped to Paris. For those not quite ready to let go of Fashion Week, the Le Look Smurfette after-party capped off the night at nearby Rosewood, where guests sipped on Russian Standard cocktails.

All fashion shows were be styled by Conair’s professional hair team (www.conair.com) led by celebrity stylist, Ric Pipino. James Vincent was the key makeup artist with the official makeup partners, Kevyn Aucoin Beauty (www.kevynaucoin.com) and AOFM PRO (www.aofmpro). Official sponsors also included Harman/Kardon Headphones (www.harmankardon.com) and Jarlsberg Cheese Lite (www.jarlsbergusa.com), and the New York Post (www.nypost.com). STYLE360 presented by Conair’s official hotel partner, is the luxurious Sanctuary Hotel (www.sactuaryhotelnyc.com) and official nightclub sponsor Rosewood (www.rosewoodnyc.com).
