Last week some co workers and I visited High Velocity at the gorgeous new JW Marriott downtown Indianapolis. They've labeled themselves A Next-Generation Indianapolis Sports Bar, which is a good call as the space is sleek with clean lines and a slight retro feel. To be there during a big game must be a real treat and I look forward to the NFL season and try it out.
It might be a sports bar/restaurant, but they definitely offer more than wings and burgers. How about a Salmon BLT, Jumbo lump crab salad or a Miami Cuban press sandwich? If you have more timid taste buds, no need to worry as their stand-by favorites looks good too like Crunchy Beer Battered Onion Rings, Burgers, Sliders and steaks.
My friend ordered the Crispy Sesame Chicken Salad $11 which she raved about. I asked for the Greek Plate $11 for my entree even though it's an appetizer. It was presented in a 3-part dish: in the first section was a generous helping of hummus topped with Kalamata olives, the second contained pita points and the third was filled with Tzatziki sauce and topped with Feta cheese. It was absolutely delicious with bold flavors but not too filling.
When the server presented our check, she handed me a lunch club card good until August 31st. If you eat lunch there 4 times, the 5th lunch is free! Cannot wait to go back and try some another dish. I'm thinking of the fish tacos $9.
