Saira Blair could become the youngest member of the House of Delegates in West Virginia history. At the ripe old age of 17, she has just won the GOP primary in her state right before her upcoming graduation from high school.

Her father, Craig Blair is a current state senator and obviously has had an influence on his daughter's political aspirations. It is reported that she has been politically active and attended GOP meetings since the 6th grade.

What an awesome win for Saira who took on sitting Delegate Larry Kump and beat him by approximately 150 votes. She will now go on to the general election in November.

This young conservative lady should be an inspiration to all of us. With hard work and determination, anything is still possible. This is definitely a story worthy of follow-up in November. Will Saira Blair make history in her home state of West Virginia?
