High pressure will shift offshore today allowing a return south-southwesterly flow of warmer air into the region.

High pressure will slowly slide east of the region today with continued pleasant conditions and warm temperatures. As the high slides further offshore tonight into Friday, even warmer and more humid air will filter into the region as a return south-southwesterly flow develops.

Another cold front will approach early on Saturday with a chance of showers and thunderstorms returning to the forecast as the front moves through. Drier and cooler weather will arrive in the wake of the frontal boundary for the second half of the weekend and into early next week.
