High pressure builds in setting up for a warm and summery weekend

Drier conditions will continue to filter into the region today as high pressure builds in from Canada with areas of morning fog burning off and temperatures warming. It will be noticeably less humid than the past few days, making for a rather pleasant but warm afternoon.

High pressure will remain in control with dry conditions through the weekend, along with typical summertime warmth. High pressure will begin to slide offshore by late Sunday into Monday with a slightly warmer and more humid return flow. A slow-moving upper low will then begin to impact the region with several disturbances bringing more unsettled conditions through the middle of next week, along with warm and humid conditions.
