A weak and quick moving area of low pressure will slide off the mid-Atlantic coast tonight and bring a light snowfall to much of the region into Wednesday. An arctic front will then cross the region into Thursday with a much cooler and more arctic air mass, but it will only be a glancing blow as temperatures will moderate back to seasonable levels into the weekend.

Today – Morning clouds then gradually becoming partly sunny with increasing clouds late. High 34-38. Winds northwest around 5 mph.

Tonight – Mostly cloudy with a chance of light snow toward daybreak. Low 23-27. Winds calm. Chance of snow 40 percent.
Wednesday – Cloudy with snow likely, tapering off to snow showers by early afternoon and becoming mostly cloudy. High 32-36. Winds south around 5 mph. Chance of snow near 100 percent. Snow accumulation around 1 to 3 inches.
Wednesday Night – Partly cloudy. Low 23-27. Winds south between 5 and 10 mph.
