On Tuesday, December 15th, one of the high-definition cable TV channels in the cable TV system operated by Comcast Cablevision of Mobile became accessible through the digital transport adapters connected to the system for customers of the system with or without high-definition cable TV service (from Comcast Cablevision of Mobile), specifically the channel the system had just started using that day to provide another high-definition feed of WEAR-TV's main programming for the customers who received high-definition cable TV service through the system (the channel number for this high-definition feed is 1003).
Even though the customers with or without high-definition cable TV service were able to access the channel through the adapters, its programming would only last less than one second on their TV screens if they were to switch to the channel from channels that usually had programming appear on their TV screens. The customers who received high-definition cable TV service would need to use their high-definition cable TV set-top boxes to access the new high-definition channel's programming for more than one second.
