High Bridge Trail contest

High Bridge Trail State Park is a multi-use rail trail extending through Southside Virginia for some 31 miles, with 28 of those miles currently open to the public.

The closed portion includes the High Bridge itself, whose completion as a trail bridge is currently scheduled for the spring of 2012.

The Friends of High Bridge Trail State Park are currently accepting donations to help with future park improvements, and anyone who makes a donation of at least $1 can enter a drawing for the privilege of becoming the first hiker to cross the High Bridge.
