RV lovers as well as followers of the rich and famous can look forward to unwrapping a couple of late Christmas presents this holiday season courtesy of HGTV who will premiere two new 30-minute episodes (#104 and #105) of their popular “Celebrity Motor Homes” series on January 1, 2013 at 5 p.m. EST/PST and 5:30 p.m. EST/PST.
The last outing for the Celebrity Motor Homes franchise (#103) -- produced by Torrance, CA-based Channel 8 Entertainment and hosted by Carter Oosterhouse -- took viewers on a whirlwind tour of hip-hop and R&B producer Timbaland’s motorhome, Simon Cowell's gargantuan Anderson Mobile Estate and C&W star, Ronnie Dunn’s stunning $987K, 45-foot-long Prevost Le Mirage XLII motorhome, nicknamed “Pearle.” This time around the show gives us a VIP backstage pass to another clutch of “outrageous homes on wheels,” including (episode #104) rocker Bret Michaels’ Prevost XLII tour and crew buses, movie star Leonardo DiCaprio’s Class 8 honey wagon (supplied by David Rovsek of Newport Beach, CA-based King Kong Production Vehicles) and the rustic interior of country music star Trace Adkins’ Prevost XLII coach.
The second 30-minute episode (#105) focuses on Nickelback Lead Singer Chad Kroeger's righteous crib (yet another Prevost XLII), a fleet of 45’ Prevost XLII buses supplied by Knoxville, TN-based Russell Coach for the “Kellogg’s Tour of U.S. Gymnastics Champions” and Shaquille O'Neal's gigantic 45-foot Haulmark Class C RV -- dubbed the “Shaqmobile” -- which was specially designed to include a California King bed in order to accommodate the former NBA star’s 7’ 1” tall frame. In fact, Shaq is a bit of a petrolhead and has owned a number of pimped out bikes, trucks and vans over the years including a Fleetwood Discovery 37U RV which he purchased from Niel's Motor Homes in North Hills, California back in 2002 prior to purchasing his Freightliner-based Haulmark coach.
During 2013 be sure to look out for reruns of “Celebrity Motor Homes 2” (#102) which took viewers on a tour of Grammy award winning singer-songwriter Amy Grant’s custom bus, Hollywood A-list star Vin Diesel's stunning Anderson Mobile Estate, and NASCAR Coca-Cola 600 winner Casey Mears motor home whilst the first show (#101) featured actor Will Smith's multi-million dollar Anderson Mobile Estate, Zac Brown's Prevost XLII (where each bunk includes an individual iPad), his tractor trailer-based kitchen on wheels and country singer Kellie Pickler's Prevost XLII tour bus.
