HGTV's design star John Gidding will help kick off the home and flower show season during one of the dreariest months this year, according to a February 21 report from Julie Washington of The Plain Dealer.

When Giddings appears this month at the Akron Home and Flower Show on February 28, he will try to help attendees look past the snow and slush and frigid temperatures, directing their gaze forward, to warmer temperatures and summer possibilities.

Scheduled to speak to the crowd at large from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 28 and Saturday, March 1, the internationally known home designer will also be available for a meet and greet immediately after his home design presentation, from 2:00 to 2:45 p.m.

HGTV's "Curb Appeal: The Block" star will then repeat his presentation again on both days from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m., giving fans the chance to hear his recommendations twice both days. And following that late in the day speaking engagement they can attend an autograph session with him from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m.

With February proving to be one of the most stormy winter months in the past year for the North and the South, a home and flower show is just what the doctor ordered. And this particular star on the home and garden scene is expected to light up some female faces even more than the expected spring blooms they planted. Check out the John Gidding schedule and more at the Akron Home and Flower Show.
