The Nevada Wolf Pack just got its middle linebacker of the future.
Beau Hershberger, one of the top middle linebacker recruits in the nation, gave the Wolf Pack a verbal commitment on Sunday, according to Scout.com.
The 6-foot-2, 230-pound Hershberger led Granite Bay, Calif., High School to the California Division I state championship last fall. Hershberger is rated as the No. 52 linebacker in the country by Rivals.com.
According to his own Web site, Hershberegr has a 31-inch vertical leap, can bench press 355 pounds and squat 485 and has a grade point average of 3,45.
Hershberger chose the Wolf Pack over offers from Air Force, Colorado State, Navy and Northern Colorado, according to Scout.com. He visited the Wolf Pack this past weekend.
Athletes can sign their Letter of Intent beginning on Feb. 6.
