Heroin Happy Meals are not what parents want to hear when they pull up to a McDonald’s window, but according to a Jan. 30 CNN News report, one employee from the fast food chain was arrested Wednesday after police officials discovered her Heroin Happy Meal drug operations.

26-year-old Shantia Dennis was arrested by undercover officials at a Pittsburgh McDonalds after they conducted a drug buy, according to a statement issued by Mike Manko, communications director for the Allegheny County District Attorney's Office. Drug buyers were advised to go through the drive-through window for their purchases. I'd like to order a toy,” the customers would say at the first window before being asked to proceed to the next window, where they would be handed a Heroin Happy Meal box.

Reuters reports that police also seized a 50-unit bag of heroin from Dennis as well as 10 units purchased by the undercover drug officers. At this point in the investigation, authorities do not know how long the Heroin Happy Meal sales have been going on at the Pittsburgh McDonald's, and there is no evidence that the franchise owner was aware of the booming drug operation, DA communications director Manko said.

Dennis is being held on bail at the Allegheny County Jail.
