A strategy RPG that tries to pay tribute to the JRPGs of the past, “Heroes & Legends: Conquerors of Kolhar” tasks players with battling their way through hordes of enemies, over 130 types including demons, the undead, and mythical beasts, with both weapons and spells, as they race to stop an evil prophecy from being fulfilled. Players will lead a party of wizards, warriors, assassins and other characters wielding various powers, as they gain experience and collect mystical artifacts that will help on their journey. The game also features a deep crafting system, that will allow for the creation of unique weapons and armor.

New screenshots can be found in the slideshow and the announcement trailer for “Heroes & Legends: Conquerors of Kolhar” is available on the left . Both the video and screenshots seem to focus on the game’s battles, which will be both random and story-driven encounters. They do appear to resemble a turn-based RPG, but without playing it myself I can’t say for sure. The battles do look to have a brisk pace to them though.

“Heroes & Legends: Conquerors of Kolhar” will ship on August 21, 2014 for PC, Mac and Linux, and will be available via Steam, the Phoenix Online Store and other major online retailers. For more information about “Heroes & Legends: Conquerors of Kolhar”, you can visit the game’s official page.
