Herman Cain joins FOX News

FOX News Channel announced Friday that former GOP presidential candidate from Atlanta, Herman Cain, will join the top cable news provider as one of their conservative contributors.

Cain, a former businessman and Godfather’s Pizza CEO, has just restarted his radio talk-show host career on Atlanta’s WSB Radio morning program, after he hang up the mike in 2011 to run for president.

After dropping out of the race amid sexual misconduct allegations later that year, Cain started CainTV.com, a political online network, and Job Creators Solutions, a business-oriented initiative Cain founded with businessman Bernie Marcus.

Cain joins FOX News after the network has reassessed its contributors’ lineup. FNC let go of heavy conservatives Sarah Palin and Dick Morris, and hired extremely liberal former Ohio Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D) and a moderate centrist, former Massachusetts Sen. Scott Brown (R).

“As many of you have already heard, I am now officially a Fox News Contributor,” said Cain in a statement on his CainTV website. “I am very excited about the opportunity to be another voice for intelligent thinkers on Fox and to stand up for the conservative ideals that I campaigned for and that you all believe in.”
