After a long, lazy summer it looks like Fall 2014 will be a busy season of major green business conferences, festivals and summits. Here is a sneak preview of what’s ahead so you can plan to attend one or more of these great networking opportunities:
The season kicks off on October 1-2 with the 6th Annual Southeast Florida Regional Climate Leadership Summit. This year’s theme is “Regions Connect – Global Effect.” The two-day event, which will be held at the Miami Beach Convention Center, will focus on facilitating climate-related collaboration and knowledge sharing amongst innovative business thinkers and leaders, government, academia and the non-profit community, exchanging ideas and dialogue at panel discussions and networking. The annual Green Festival Chicago will take place from October 24-26 at the Navy Pier, while Green Festival San Francisco will be held from November 14-16 at the Fort Mason Center. For more information, click here or check this column in the weeks ahead for more detailed coverage.
Speaking of San Francisco, the city will also host Verge SF 2014 from October 27-30 at the Palace Hotel. VERGE is GreenBiz Group’s global event series with a focus on how technology accelerates sustainable solutions across industries and sectors, bringing together the world’s largest companies, technology innovators and cities to create a broad ecosystem of players to accelerate opportunities for businesses, the environment and society in general. Last, but not least, the annual Opportunity Green Business Conference will take place from November 10-11 in Los Angeles, California (venue to be announced). It is the largest B2B multidisciplinary sustainability conference, bringing together leading companies and visionaries, and showcasing the authentic players, sought-after opportunities and executive decision-makers from around the globe. As an attendee, you can “discover new trends, obtain critical knowledge and develop winning partnerships to prepare your organization for a world where profits, people and the environment are truly interconnected.”
More information on all of these events will be forthcoming in the weeks ahead, so stay tuned!
