Resident Evil 6 has tread a rocky path since its burgeoning earlier this year, and with the video released just moments ago by the RE6 official YouTube channel, things don't seem to be clearing up anytime soon.
While it's a nice addition, this siege mode, it's still far from what fans are pining for. Just take a look at the first couple of top comments on the video's page and you'll see for yourself. Fans would like less shooty shooty bang bang and more classic survival horror like Resident Evil Outbreak from back in the PS2 era.
With Dead Space 3 adding in a new cover system and enemies that shoot back (sound like someone you know, Resident Evil 6?) and even Silent Hill becoming more action oriented with Silent Hill: Book of Memories and Silent Hill: Downpour, the future of classic survival horror seems grim.
That is of course unless you count Among the Sleep, a unique horror experience that puts you in the shoes (or diaper) of an infant child that has to evade skulking threats and terrors around the house. I certainly count Among the Sleep and personally can't wait for it, despite some of the heat it's been taking lately.
