Here’s to Your Health celebrates one year on the air with 25th episode

Here’s to Your Health is a local public access TV show on healthy living. The brainchild of VeggiePatti, the show is intended to promote healthy living by showcasing events, people, and practitioners that present both mainstream and alternative views of health. The hope is that viewers will walk away with at list one tip from every show that they can incorporate into their lives to improve their health, or at least make them think about things in a different way.

The show is filmed through Wyandotte Cable. VeggiePatti, the host and producer, as well as the entire crew are volunteers for the show. Crew members include Debbie Berens, Amber Bittner, Pat Clemens, Elena Maria, Teresa McClendon, Daniel Radakovic, Roy Radakovich, and Sophie Radakovich, with other volunteers helping out at various times throughout the first year.

The show airs on Wyandotte Cable Channel 15, Grosse Ile’s public access channel, Comcast Channel 20 in Allen Park, Brownstown, Berlin Twp, Ecorse, Flat Rock, Garden City, Gibraltar, Grosse Ile, Inkster, Lincoln Park, Melvindale, Riverview, River Rouge, Rockwood, Southgate, South Rockwood, Taylor, Trenton, and Woodhaven, and Comcast Channel 18 in Dearborn, Canton, Northville, and Plymouth. Check your local listings for air dates and times. For those who are not within the viewing area, all episodes are available for viewing on VeggiePatti's YouTube channel; extended cuts are also available online.

What can you expect from the show? Episodes cover topics from gluten-free living to qigong. Events covered include VegFest and the Start Living Expo. VeggiePatti has interviewed nationally-known public figures such as Dr. Neal Barnard and John Salley and Viktoras Kulvinskas. However, she has also interviewed local community members on topics such as breast cancer and lifestyle transformations. Serious topics such as domestic violence and colorectal cancer are covered as well as lighter topics like green smoothies and Zumba. Places visited include the Metroparks and Detroit Eastern Market. The 25th episode showed viewers how to make healthy raw desserts. Many more topics are yet to be covered, so stay tuned for upcoming episodes!
